Morrowind would be a whole different beast to remaster. Not saying I wouldn’t enjoy some better graphics and tweaked systems, but it would be a hard sell to most gamers if they only did that.

-no voice acting -outdated gameplay systems -Game map that wasn’t designed with unlimited draw distance, fast travel, or even unlimited running in mind.

Honestly at this point it would be better served by a full remake.

What exactly has been changed besides the graphics? Sounds like they tweaked the melee combat to more resemble Skyrims.

Imo Oblivions two biggest problems were level scaling and how barren the world was between cities and dungeons.

Edit: I got it after watching more of the gameplay. It still feels like Oblivion, but there’s a lot of little tweaks that improve the experience. Combat and movement has more weight to it, so while the systems all effectively function the same it feels a lot less floaty then the original game. There’s a lot of small tweaks and QOL improvements, like the UI is reminiscent of the original but much more fluid. Cant comment on if they fixed level-scaling or not, as I’m only at level 3.

Make no mistake, this is 100% Oblivion. Its just a lot prettier and with a lot of small improvements. So far it seems like a rare modern Bethesda W.

I feel like if Putin was the “grand puppet master” he’s often made out to be then the war in Ukraine would be going much better for him. Pure speculation, but could Trump no longer be as beholden to Putin as he so clearly was in his first term? Musk seems to be holding his reins now, and maybe he realizes any Kompromat the Russians may have had just doesn’t matter any more in the face of his cult of personality.

That said, it seems to be in both parties best interest for Putin to get out of the war while Trump is in office. A president favorable to Russia gets a big win on the world stage, and Russia gets to quietly back out of a conflict that has been a complete disaster for them.

That would seem to be the message we are intended to take away from the film, however this is contradicted by the fact that our protagonist uses this power and it works. Alternatively, the films message could be interpreted as: Nobody should weild this power, but sometimes it’s necessary to stop someone who “wants to watch the world burn”.

Pretty much every Nolan film, with the disclosure that I stopped watching his movies after Inception. His films are always well-acted and well-produced, but the scripts are just… dumb? They take themselves way too seriously and carry this air of highbrow intellectualism while being riddled with plot holes and contrivances. Not to mention the crypto-fascist messaging.

He’s like Zack Snyder, but he pulls it off well enough that critics buy into it. It drives me crazy when I see his name mentioned alongside great auteur filmmakers like Kubrick and Scorsese.
