32·2 年前I had that issue with mine, turns out there’s a screen protector on the screen when you get it. once I peeled it off I was good as new, although now the screen itself is starting to wear.

wait… by “end of the game” do you mean the second part, or the epilogue? because it does reset in the middle but that’s not the real end.
