One of the reasons I love that I’m in Germany rn. You don’t get people casually joking about Nazis then laughing it off like it’s nothing. It is literally against the law, and people treat that topic with actual respect.

One of the reasons I love that I’m in Germany rn. You don’t get people casually joking about Nazis then laughing it off like it’s nothing. It is literally against the law, and people treat that topic with actual respect.
I was uplifted for a minute and then I read the comments.
Guys, why is it so hard to just respect that people exist that you might not fully understand?
Chances are they just don’t talk about it
They’re just going to try to make one that’s ever so slightly better, and then patent it again
Yeah, you could put a rainbow neon cord down there, you’re not seeing any of it in -20
That, I believe, is what we refer to as an “abomination”
They have no concept of “human” or “mother”
Actually, they do. Maybe not in the words we use for it, but a cat can recognize their mother and can determine humans apart from other species. It may not be an complex psychological process of ranking them, but they recognize.
I don’t think they question it. Just like if you feed a stray cat, they will often continue to come back
“Human gives food. I stay with human.”
It was this evolutionary trait that allowed us to domesticate animals in the first place. I don’t know if they have the complex psychological capacity to question or doubt it to that level. It’s a trust bond, not a superiority one.
By that logic, nothing we can say will
“Pain during labor is caused by contractions of the muscles of the uterus and by pressure on the cervix. This pain can be felt as strong cramping in the abdomen, groin, and back, as well as an achy feeling.”
The muscles are fully capable of performing the action. The contractions and spasms are the pain, as your body prepares them for what they need to do.
Besides, it’s not actually the uterus that needs to contract, it’s the cervix. And we have no way of knowing if elastagirl has manual control over her cervix. Most women don’t have control over their cervix, hence why these contractions have to happen for childbirth to take place. It could also be risky to the fetus to try to stretch enough to make that happen.
I’m not taking it personally? I’m a bit lost now. I just commented a response.
My urge to drink vs my absolute hatred of hangovers is an endless battle within my mind and liver
I feel like both of us might benefit from moderation
Never said I was. I’m trying to become more aware of it.
Considering contractions would be part of the birthing process caused by hormones overall, probably still painful. I don’t think her uterus realizes it’s elastagirl on a hormonal level. Just because you know and can solve the issue doesn’t mean your body stops freaking out

[Three identical stock photo images of a smiling man with crossed arms in a white labcoat are shown, with the one in the centre being normally sized, and the one on the right being shrunk down to a fraction of the size of the first, so the smaller one’s head is just below knee height of the larger. A third copy of the same stock photo has been added to the left of both of these men, enlarged to the point where everything save for his giant legs are outside of the frame. There is text above all three men, transcribed from left to right]
