I too have the memory of a steel sieve.

You have to be passionate enough about the topic that it’s not work, it’s just something you do because you enjoy talking about <topic>.
This ^
I make a fair few posts (mostly back on reddit but now I’m here) and I don’t do it because I get anything concrete from it. I just like seeing the replies to some of the random shit that pops up in my random-ass brain. (And I enjoy seeing how people respond rather just the content of their responses too.)
I like chatting about certain things, and luckily for me I don’t need to create a community because they’re already there. But frequently I want to chat about something within that community that doesn’t exist, thus, I post. Making a community is just the next step in that.

AI can detect when you’ve used AI (lol) and may disqualify you for doing it. (Bigger lol)
Copy lines into notepad which will remove the formatting you don’t see, then copy it into your resume/application to help avoid that.
Look for jobs in the usual places, but try to find the actual company site/email and apply there directly.
When asking AI questions about your job search, don’t be afraid to add your own limitations to the search. (Can you drive? Can you stand for prolonged periods? Are you “honest to a fault”, then sales might not be for you.)
Look up ATS in this context and learn what it is, and more importantly, learn how the people using it, use it. (And if they use it at all. Construction companies probably don’t if they’re not big.)

It’s at a friend’s house so i could go a few minutes early and pop it into her oven when we arrive. Thanks!
Okay, that being the case I’d suggest you nuke the dip WITHOUT the cheese for a few minutes first to warm it up at their place. Nuke 30secs, mix, nuke 30secs, mix. Etc etc until it’s warm maybe even steaming.
Then add the cheese on top once it’s warm/hot and broil it. That way it’s faster and you aren’t relying on the oven to warm the whole thing up. Just to broil the cheese on top to make it look and taste good. (And it’ll broil faster so less standing/watching.)
PS: You can still bring the bowl full of broken candy canes if you think the joke’ll land. Meheheh…
Good luck and speedy recovery.

Bowl of assorted of broken Candy Canes. (Cane being the operative word.) Meheheheheh I’m a funny man… Okay okay.
Assuming you have access to a microwave where you’re going or you can microwave it at home if you’re not going far:
Pick up a premade spinach, artichoke, or mexican-ish dip, and some parmesan or shredded cheese that’ll go with the dip.
Bring a big microwave safe bowl.
Get some greek pita/plain chips.
Sprinkle the cheese on top, nuke it 'til it’s warm and gooey.
If you can broil it in the oven for a bit beforehand that’d be ideal but then you might as well do the brie.

Bit of a tangent, and also very much IIRC…
In the US saying “sorry” can possibly be construed as evidence towards admission to guilt of the crime, whereas in Canada there’s a “Sorry Clause” of some sort specifically stating that saying that apologizing isn’t necessarily an admission of guilt.
As a Canadian I kinda got a kick out that. I live somewhere many people still thank the bus drivers as they exit the bus.
I’ve never made an omelette that didn’t have more ingredients in it than that. (At least green onions, but frequently ham and cheese, bell peppers, spinach, etc etc.)
So I guess I’d go scrambled. But if I’m just using salt with the eggs then probably sunny-side up so I can dip toast in the runny yolk.

Star Wars
(“Honourable” mention: Star Trek fans. The blind nuTrek hate is something else.)
Edit: The expected downvotes may as well be upvotes for purposes of this comment lol. See everyone? Case in point.

Never been to therapy myself but just saying good luck to you. Curious to see the responses here myself. Been in a seriously depressed state for the past six years, but in the last two months taken huge steps to get out of it.
Still dunno if I’ll give therapy a shot, but there’s been improvement on my own front which ain’t nothin’.

That could be its own interesting question too; I imagine pragmatic case-use will differ with a significant portion of the userbase treating them as likes/dislikes.

Nothing specific but I imagine all the local shops like farmers-markets and thrift stores aren’t terribly reliant on it. (Yet…)

You can’t “fix” human behaviour you can only account for it and adjust.
Our attention will always go towards the moment rather than the constant. (Unless that constant is pain.)
Your favourite actor dies? That’s momentous. You’ll never see them in another production. You upvote it.
A doctor says something you’ve heard a hundred times over? You don’t upvote it. You relegate it to the same place the other ninety-nine went to.

Good sex can keep a relationship going for longer than it should, but it won’t be indefinite no matter how orgasmic.

There are certainly times I’d rather have 50 comments and 5 upvotes than 50 upvotes and 5 comments.

I think the female versions of my name sound terrible, so, no on that front.
In general not a thought I’ve had aside from that. I’ve always felt comfortable with my gender/sexual orientation.

Pretty good series, pretty sure the author’s an “acolyte” of Brandon Sanderson, so if anyone reading this likes the Cosmere you might like this series as well.
Been on my “reread” list for a while but the list keeps growing…

This is what I came to say if it wasn’t already.
Replace both leads with a couple that has chemistry but retains that slightly antagonistic spark and it would’ve made a good movie. I don’t even have an alternate casting, just, “not them.”
Are there gonna be 3 levels now? (Real time battle, planetary overworld, space over-overworld)?
Presumably? There might even be a fourth layer if they go battle/planet/system/interstellar.
Are the space marines gonna march in a phalanx formation?
I doubt it. Round bases man, squares are for fantasy!
But really, I assume they’ll be in a skirmish formation.
Facing is only supposed to matter to vehicles and armour, IIRC.
Which space marine is gonna be the princess?
I am! (Actually I love my 'nids so really I’d be a queen.)
A lot of TV shows and movies from franchises still running. There’s a huge amount of nostalgia attached to them, but there’s plenty out there now that are just as good if not better.
It’s hard not to be biased when humans have built-in rose tinted glasses though.
