It’s not a problem as long as the eggs weren’t incubated for too long. It will take for a while before anything visible developes

That seems interesting, but it feels like it would be slower than thumb-key? How long have you been using it, and how high wpm do you have? For reference, I have used thumb-key for 6 months or so, and can achieve 40-45 wpm
And for cli ncdu is great
Here in Finland the standard seems to be 8-16, with 30 min lunch, for a total of 37,5h work per week
Tiny nitpick, 23 qr-codes are needed as one can contain 2,953 bytes and c64 has 65,536 bytes of ram. 65536/2953=22.19
Or in even norther part of the world in summer where that bright bastard starts blasting at 4 in the morning.
The posts are from march 2023, and there are no ads yet :/
That would make sence, also the domain is really good (lasinvaihto.fi, translates to windscreenreplacement.fi). Maybe they are planning to sell the domain?
Recently I was looking for info (in finnish) how to prevent car windows from fogging. I found a really weird website all about car windows, but it kept confusing car and house windows. It instructed to clean car windows by “opening the window and cleaning between the panels”.
It was obviously ai-generated, but I couldn’t figure out why. They weren’t selling anything, there were no ads and no links to other websites or services.
Edit: I found the site again, I cannot spot anything nefarious, but proceed with caution: https://www.lasinvaihto.fi/
Well, here (in middle of finland) the sun set at 14:30, so there wasn’t all that much solar energy available.
Also heat pumps are always at least as efficient as straight electric heating.
Oh it hadn’t occured to me that not only salt causes osmosis. Thank you for the explanation!
Seems like I’m going to boil the potatoes whole in the future, thanks again :)
No problem! Make sure to test the universal summarizer also, it has been extremely useful for skimming scientific papers and documentations (you can also select “discuss further” to ask specific questions about the material).
I also felt that the price is too much, until I started to actually think how much I use and rely on search engines in my life, and suddenly the cost doesn’t seem all that high. Granted I’m fortunate enough to live in a high-income country.
Isn’t the osmosis minimized when the salt concentration of the water matches that of the potatoes, and thus it shouldn’t affect the saltiness of the end product? Assuming that the water is thrown away of course.
Give kagi a shot, it has worked great for me
Do you know whether salting the water heavily affects the water absorption rate of cut potatoes? It should reduce it on cell level, but I don’t know if that is the case with starch
If I cannot fall asleep in 30 minutes or so, I “give up” and go lay on sofa and watch something low intesity from youtube (restoration channels are great for this. This removes most pressure to fall asleep, which often is enough to make it possible to fall asleep quicklyish. And if not, at least watching videos is more interesting that lying in dark room.
Note that you should either wear blue-light blocking glasses (not those barely tinted “computer glasses”, but those that are meant for blocking lasers), or use some software solution, in order to not disturb melatonin production. It’s a good idea to start doing this at least an hour before going to bed in order to allow melatonin to build-up.
Source: partner suffers from severe sleeping problems, and they have researched falling asleep extensively.
How do I do with a detached head?
We have this issue in an internal tool at my workplace. My coworker is the only one who has long enough password and is too stubborn to change it, so they change the (client side) limit every time they log-in.
Give kagi a shot, it’s paid service, but they have a 100 search trial
