  • When I was younger, gaming was all I did as it was my only hobby and I didn’t have many friends. I’d play the same 5-6 games since my catalog was small and my folk weren’t keen to buy more. I didn’t care much about graphics, performance, or length. I was also more of a completionist, searched for collectables, completed challenges and time trials, and completed side quests. Nowadays, I have a larger gaming library. I own hundreds of games on Steam, but I’ve hardly played a handful of them. Over time I’ve realized that I play games for killing time more than anything else. I’ve become more conscious of how I’m spending my free time and now I spend my free time doing other things.

  • Best: Casual work environment, Monday-Friday work schedule, Day shift

Worst: Small businesses shenanigans and problems like lack of health insurance and occasional late paychecks to name a few. The workplace is dysfunctional. There are very little safety standards. There is a complete and utter inventory mismanagement problem. There are no standardized procedures, especially for training. There is difficulty in hiring new and retaining new employees. The long time employees are leaving due to retirement, health issues, or just utter frustration and dissatisfaction, and they’re taking all of their knowledge and experience with them.

Some long-timers recently quit, including the business owner’s son who’s also the person who hired me. They quit because they were doing the jobs of multiple people and having more responsibilities and job duties tacked on to them. Even the IT guy is trying to fix the inventory situation at the off-site warehouse even though the business owner said he was looking to hire an inventory specialist.

  • Florida, US. We’re facing multiple crises at once; an affordability crisis, an environmental crisis, and a political crisis. Homeowners insurance rates are going up with many companies leaving the state. Car insurance rates are increasing. Rent prices, housing prices, and mortgage rates are increasing. Our state is facing multiple environmental issues such as deforestation, pollution, and invasive species. Climate change will greatly impact our state, but our governor thinks it’s woke.

  • I commute by car, I drive 18 miles and it takes about 24 minutes to get to work. I like the highway I take to get there, it leads out west to outskirts of the city and I like how the landscape changes from urban to rural. My workplace is in a commercial park surrounded by mostly undeveloped land. The only part I hate is that there are no bus routes in the area, having a car is a requirement for the commute.

  • Honestly good. There are plenty of used and pre-owned vehicles that just need minor repairs or tune-ups. I drive a used 2015 Chevy Spark, financed it back in 2022 and it’s nearly paid off. My car only needed a new battery, new tires, and an oil change. My mom on the other hand financed a new luxury Acura RDX back in 2018 as an upgrade from her 2006 Honda CRV, she’s still making payments to this day. I asked why she didn’t get a newer Honda CRV and she said that she didn’t want the same vehicle as a McDonald’s worker.
