Generally, it is more difficult to use the Gish gallop in a structured debate than a free-form one.

This sums it up nicely, and why I think he’s like any bully: he picks his fights and only ones he can win.

Seeing that picture reminded me his kids are biracial. So to add to this fatherhood moment: he also supports a man who doesn’t respect someone of mixed heritage, the very thing his own kids are.

It’s not cognitive dissonance, it’s wilful suspension of the truth and the reason politics are driving wedges into our families and friends.

I’ve scoured a bit and have come up empty handed, that is to say: I bought the Hoards of the Dragon Queen book and I want a neat pre-built campaign tracker to help me - can’t find anything.

I’ll pile on and say there’s no way I’d enjoy it now but my younger self totally agrees.

I think the thing to remember about games from that era is that we had so fewer options and so much more time on our hands. Feels like I ditch games much quicker now if they’re a slog or repetitive.
