While the experiment is not the first for space-to-Earth laser communications, it’s the first using a commercially available ground station, according to Morizur.
The article should have mentioned the NASA test, though

Wasn’t Starlink saying it would refuse to comply with the court order to stop serving ex-Twitter in Brazil? Could this be related to that?
Ahh fuck, stuff being published by them was usually a decent sign that it’d be interesting in some way. Best of luck to the actual team, I hope they can put something new together
The kingdom was before the republic. I assume you want to prevent the empire?
He must be close to resurrecting himself through sheer rage
I suppose there’s the Olympic team? Although that doesn’t include the republic of Ireland, and Northern Irish people can choose which one to compete for
I think part of the issue is that there’s far less parity between the countries in football compared to rugby. All four teams are always at or near the top level in rugby, whereas only England is typically good at football, so a Lions equivalent would basically just be the England team again
This has literally nothing to do with women’s rights
this is exactly the point I’m making
You responded to criticism of the state of women’s rights under Taliban governance with criticism of America, you absolutely said something exactly that simplistic. If the post was saying that America and/or its allies should re-invade or otherwise try to overthrow the Taliban, sure, you might have a point, but it isn’t
You don’t have to think America is doing things right to think the Taliban are doing them wrong

The UK doesn’t compete in international football, the constituent countries of it do. Although of them, only England is even occasionally able to challenge Germany
Exercise Formosa
Well this certainly wasn’t the “Chinese troops in Taiwan” headline that I worried I might read. Apparently there’s a Formosa in Brazil and it’s not just the old name for Taiwan
Is it a worse look than what Tyson did to any of his real opponents because of the history of male violence against women, or is there something else you’re getting at? And is whether or not it looks good what should be the driving force being decision making in sports?
Combat sports already have weight classes, it’s not like you’d be putting a man up against a woman he has 30 cm and 50 kg over. If you’ve got people of similar size and ability, it doesn’t seem to me like their sex or gender matters. They all went in there expecting to both hit and get hit.
Could be that those under him don’t trust him any more, and even if he hasn’t actually done anything that justified removing him he’s having a negative effect on the morale of those working for him
It’s useless, yes, but your body didn’t evolve to account for pouring a bunch of heated water over yourself
could be a very odd addition to something like a racing sim.
Maybe not as odd as you think, since the methanol fuel used in many motorsports series actually does burn invisibly
He looks like he knows exactly how handsome he is
