Not to show some profound effect about wave function collapse, but to show how the wave function must collapse (despite his calculations showing otherwise) because if the wave function doesn’t collapse, the cat is simultaneously alive and dead, which is preposterous.
However, we now know quantum entanglement to be a real thing; so, as bizzare as it sounds, the cat is both alive and dead, always. The number of timelines containing an alive cat diminish over time until eventually, dead cat is the only possible outcome. This is strong evidence for a multiverse existence. When you open the box you simply discover which universe you’re in.
4·4 months agoPretty much! I manage a SaaS product for our company and the company that makes our product has basically offshored their entire support team. Tier 1 and 2 support went to India, and the customer service reps that we collab with weekly went to Colombia.
Development is still done in my home country, but barely, and I’m sure its just a matter of time until that leaves here also.
Corporations single only motive is to produce more and more profit.
2·4 months agoOpenstreetmaps has been treating me pretty well. They don’t have all the business information like gmaps does, but that’s what TripAdvisor and Yelp are for.

friedtried Kingdom Come: Deliverance and honestly hated everything about it. I didn’t enjoy the combat, voice acting, or graphics. I felt like I spent most of the game running (and running and running) to the next quest and it was very boring. On top of all of that, it felt so much like Christian propaganda it made me feel uncomfortable. “Hello random npc” -> “JESUS CHRIST IS YOUR GOD REPENT NOW hello PC would you like to buy some flowers?” -> “um, no thanks, I guess” -> “OK, have a nice day PRAISE JESUS THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS AND THE ONE TRUE GOD”. It would have been bearable if the game was good, but it just wasn’t.Stardew is… fine I guess, but there’s always something else I’d rather play.
Not with that attitude you can’t.
Is this some windows problem I’m too FOSS to understand?

Gen X isnt much better tbh. They grew up during the golden age of the boomer era where society had not started to breakdown yet. Some of them may have progressive views, but I bet it won’t be until millenials are in charge that we start to see meaningful change. Gen Z will really get into progressivism I bet.
