I rarely bike at all.

Road bikers are usually assholes, probably because they have a chip on their shoulder about cars being impatient with them. Getting behind a road biker on a busy two-way street is really annoying.

I haven’t seen commuter cyclists get much crap but they’re probably pissed off at how motorists treat them.

Mountain bikers only hate e-bikers because they’re “cheating”, far as I can tell. Kids also ride e-bikes around here like morons and cause lots of accidents.

Anyway, most of the US just isn’t built to handle bikes and it causes tensions to flare, best as I can tell.

My company’s online product uses passkeys (I implemented it) more as a convenience method for login. 2FA is the base standard, and authenticated users can create a passkey for each device they want to use. Subsequent logins can then use the passkey or 2FA. Rather than having to dig out my phone, open the authenticator app, and put in the digits, I can simply use the fingerprint reader and I’m right in.

It’s one of their best features. No ads being the best, since that also means you get real results and no “sponsored” bullshit. They also have ai slop filters.

The whole concept of “curing cancer” is such a trope. Cancer is a condition, and it annoys the fuck out of me that people treat it as one disease like measles or the flu.

I’m very anti-authoritarian, but man I wish we had uniforms in school where I grew up. At the time I would have hated it, but in hindsight it would have saved me a lot of bullying. Equality != authoritarian in this case.

I still don’t get it. If WhatsApp is ok, why not Facebook messenger? Why not instagram dm’s? Meta alleges that WhatsApp is “encrypted”, but why would anyone believe that? Is “trust me bro” good enough for the government of a nuclear power? And yes I know the US is no better, but India’s government relying on a commercial product from an American spy company is bonkers. It would be like the the EU using WeChat.

I was about to say… I have a laptop that can go anywhere in the house, including the kitchen. It’s not tethered to any one location and can do all the things that fridge screen can do, and much more. Laptops also have ad blockers freely available.

Why. Why would anyone buy a fridge with a screen. We have lots of screens. A fridge does not need a screen. It is a fridge.
