I do have 2 monitors. But I have an opaque side panel. Case closed. Pun intended.

Absolutely. And I was so in love with a student of history/culture studies that I went in there twice with her. Our relationship failed after less then 6 months. So I endured this abomination of a movie twice and suffered from real bad heartache all within a year. Life isn’t fair.
I wasn’t one of those chavs walking out. I knew perfectly well what I was walking into. It’s pretty boring, though. It should be a short film of 45m max.
Iron Sky. A lot of young chavs grabbed their beers and left the theater. Apart from a couple of minutes you can mostly see in the trailer that movie is indeed pretty shitty. The sequel is even worse. It was pretty overhyped and I suspect it hasn’t aged well.
That particular fairy must be employed by the dentists’ lobby, I guess 😂
I am not discussing if soda of any kind is more unhealthy than tea or not. You can drink as much soda as you want. Just don’t bullshit yourself or anybody else. You only have one argument: “I like soda, don’t take away my soda from me.” It is not a good argument but it is all you’ve got.
Diet soda contains sweeteners that are suspected to cause cancer. Granted, you’d have to drink a couple of liters of diet soda a day before you need to be seriously concerned, but tea has one big advantage: It contains as much sugar or sweeteners as you add to it, so there’s that.
Ok, in some places you might want one of those bubblers at home, I guess.
Yes, of course. Preferably tap water.
Maybe you want to have a cup of tea instead? Way more cheap and healthy. Or buy some off-brand soda. It is just as much garbage as coca cola but at least it’s cheap.
Oh, I go there too, occasionally. Especially for returning “Pfand” and buying wine, I really enjoy “Albali Reserva” (not Gran Reserva). It’s a more than decent Tinto for only 3.59€/bottle.
But somehow I never really grew fond of Kaufland. Somehow it’s always sort of filthy in there, shopping carts are often not to be found at the entrance, not enough registers are open, “chavs” are loitering at the entrance… I don’t know, I am always stressed out at Kaufland. Aldi, Lidl and Edeka feel more “cozy” to me, I guess.
A woman invented the windshield wiper. Granted, a man inventes the whole effing rest of the car…
Are they one-stop in the US, though?
In Germany you usually have a little shopping center with Aldi and/or Lidl, a DM and an Edeka. Once you have finished shopping at Aldi and DM you can pop into Edeka and get the 1 or 2 items you didn’t get at Aldi and DM.
Many people in Germany are doing it like that. Edeka seems to florish from the people who prefer branded products and/or can’t get into 2 shops because they don’t go grocery shopping by car and can’t really visit more than 1 shop, because you can’t enter a 2nd one with a bag full of goods from the 1st one.
I used to unlock the bootloaders for a couple of years on all my phones, 10 years ago or so. I installed cyanogenmod and used it the way it was supposed to: rooted. But then Google Pay came along as well as banking apps that actually did their jobs better then the banks’ web sites. You couldn’t use either of that reliably with a rooted phone. So now I am back to stock android and I am actually quite happy with it. I like the google services, including Google Pay. Also, stock android improved a lot since the early 10s.
For integers it really doesn’t exist. An algorithm for multiplying an integer with -1 is: Invert all bits and add 1 to the right-most bit. You can do that for 0 of course, it won’t hurt.
Why is this legal? What kind of shithole country allows this?
The water/solvent isn’t even contaminated. It is deluted so thoroughly, you can’t even find a single molecule of whatever ingredient is supposed to show any effect.
The royal family, including Charles are big proponents of homeopathy. Let’s see how much homeopathy is going to help him now. I’m sure at least as much as those alternative methods Steve Jobs chose helped him, back then…
And I am sitting here, in my rental flat in Germany and wish I had an American sliding window with an A/C-Unit built into it. Those are not a thing with those German windows :'(
Why should Rogan and Musk be concerned about a law in Scotland? I can’t be botheres to look up if Rowling lives in Scotland, but she’s at least on the same island. At the minimum Rogan and Musk should mind their own business. As a German I also don’t judge US gub laws, for example. None of my business.
