Interesting! I’ll definitely have a look 🙂

Hey, thank you for this! I’ll test it later. I was planning to eventually do the same thing (and in rust too).
Thus said, something that I always find impractical with simple todo lists, is that you cannot use it with subtasks. For example, if I want to manage a large project with it, I would need to create a task “Refactor this worker”, and add subtasks “Delete old function”, “Handle the new property”, etc.
I cannot flatten the subtasks in the list because their names wouldn’t be explicit, and making their names explicit would make it a burden to read, and it would make it difficult to follow the main task progress. How do you handle such things with your software?

I had tried in the past and optimized the hell out of it, but I found that’s a really slow software. I appreciate the features, but it looks like they have made a really bad foundation, and built some nice features upon it. Seafile is WAY better performance wise! (but less features). Depending on your needs, the best middleground I’ve found is syncthing between my PC and sftpgo to expose webdav / sftp. There is no lighter setup than that.

Don’t go onto specialized distro. Just use the main ones like Mint (which is based on Ubuntu, which is based on Debian). I would say that Debian is the best one, but it needs to read some docs if you have a Nvidia Graphic card (but if not, it should be easy and super stable). Bazzite, Nobara, etc, are based on distro that are quickly changing (Fedora or Arch), which are really nice in their own way, but as a beginner, you need stability first!
Try this : https://www.linuxmint.com/edition.php?id=325 It is Linux Mint, but directly based on Debian instead of Ubuntu!

If you don’t need to do 3D work, you can still use a virtual machine with kvm, it is really fast! (then ditch Windows :) )

It’s not good for your mental health to get news that have only a point of view. Always look both sides to make your own mind!

Is it? I’ve just tried and it doesn’t:

An AI robot to look for sensors that can be already read since decades? What is that marketing bullshit?

That’s because you have WinRAR sarcasm edition! A very good release!

This! A game is a game. There are often good alternatives that gives as much entertainment. If a publisher doesn’t want you to play, that’s their problem, they won’t get money from you.

20 years for me (even thought I used Windows for a year in there). There’s no point in using Windows at all, unless you’re forced at work, or stuck because you don’t want to learn an alternative tool.

Yes, there will still be the aosp repository as open-source. It will have some lag, but still there. Thus said, Google has moved a lot of things into the Google Play services over the years (closed sources). So, who knows what’s next! Let’s praise that some companies inject money / devs into postmarketos!

I use FreshRSS since a few years and it’s excellent!

I’ve been studying biology and genetics at univ., so I understand the topic very well. The problem with GMO is not the technique per se, but the fact that companies can lock agricultors with specific pesticids, regardless of the damage they can do to environment. For example, Gluten molecule was made stronger by French scientists, for the agricultural lobbies during 90-2010, and now a lot of people suffer from this.

I don’t know much about food standards laws. A bit of french ones, but not international. Most of it is assumed based on what I heard from news and agricultors back when the treaty was validated! So, what you basically say is that Canada also have high standards, and that’s a good news. No GMO? Some organic food (no pesticids)? I’ve never been to your country, but I will come to visit in the future :) Thank you for your answer.

As EU citizen, I don’t think that’s a good deal for us, as we are importing food that do not match our environmental criterias. It’s anti-concurrential for inside food producers that have to conform these environmental laws. It would have been good if the deal was to import things that were produced respecting our laws (no offense).

It’s not just a yes or no. Theorically, they have to do many things about corruption, economic stability. They are not supposed to be at war to apply and not to have unstable countries beside. Accepting Ukraine now, would be against all the neighbors countries that have been struggling to enter. EU have to help them getting out of this war (preferably by pushing Russia out entirely), then make peace, then help rebuilding so they are conform to enter. I really hope we manage to make them get there! But it’s long for a reason: stability. The quickest part would be to accept them as candidate, but it needs peace first.
Medieval 2 was the only Total War to picked up my interest! Really good news :)
