Am I the only one that hates third-party clients for Desktop? They all have terrible UI and UX. Firefox + UBlock + Youtube is the way to go. For the phone it’s NewPipe or Grayjay.
It’s not even encrypted except for encryption at rest. What are you talking about?
Telegram was never safe because it’s not encrypted. Use something encrypted and open-source, so you don’t need to rely on their promises and service.
Signal is the most popular alternative. Others are Threema, Matrix, Session.
What do you mean? Hypersonic are a multitude faster than 1200 km/h.
Isn’t the US already a surveillance country?
Big dog is apparently not the biggest dog if this is necessary.
Good. Competition is good.
Do you feel attacked?
This has nothing to do with privacy either. First of all Telegram is not a private messenger. Secondly, this is a about public forums and groups called Channels. This has nothing to do with backdoors eithe. They are simply asking them to do moderation on chats they already have access too.
Telegram has full access to this data and knowingly ignores child pornography and other criminal activity. If Facebook did such a thing for years you’d be screaming right now.
Surely you will
Only 50k? I thought it would be much more than that. Didn’t know Lemmy was still this small after all these years.
You have to go well outside the US to find reliable and neutral news. They don’t know about it or are in denial.
You probably haven’t visited a good museum in a long time. You really should. The way they present some exhibitions is really informative and often also interactive. It’s very memorable and interesting. Wikipedia just isn’t the same and often doesn’t even have the right presentation or lacks information to get the points across.
If I could give you one advice: go look proactively for a reasonably large museum that aligns with your interests. You’ll be surprised how fun and informative it is.
Wtf is tilvids dot com?!
It’s beyond me how they can affors all of these free games and exclusive but not a single capable developer to make this platform beyond just the bare minimum.
Imagine this knife was a gun.
I gave Epic’s store a chance but even after all this time it’s still shit and very far from feature parity with Steam. There’s not even proper reviews. No big-picture equivalent. No good out-of-the-box Linux support. No Steam-Deck. The list is very very long. Until Epic starts delivering, the 30% cut Valve takes is more than justified.
Wages are also subject to change based on performance or company profits.
But what I mean is that the company and the worker have the same interests in some way. Everyone wants to make money to pay the bills. Companies are no charities and your work isn’t either. If you dislike your relationship with the company, you can just resign that relationship any time. But one thing will never change: the worker will only do the work required from him and the company will only pay the wage required from them. There is nothing evil about that. It’s human nature for the past 20.000 years.
Isn’t a power plant a civilian target? It’s certainly not a military target.
