  • I had an entire LIFETIME in ONE night. Dream was super realistic, but it was all anime waifus. From earliest childhood memory till old age and that final darkness basically that last moment woke me up with a start. I never imagined that an entire lifetime in one night dream.

I don’t think I ever had such an experience ever again. It was just one time. Never to happen again so far.

    In table-tennis / pingpong,

    Equipment Junkies.

It is both an insult as well as an addiction/habit.

Amateur and Pro TT players usually have trained from childhood as early as 3 years old tend to have an almost god-like superior ability to learn and relearn in the sport at any age.

But most folks get into TT at an older age around their late-20s.

TT reflexes cannot be gained at the later stages of life. Almost a miracle for an older player to “git gud”.

Hence, you will find the older players have the income to buy equipment used by the Top-10 players in the world. Hence “Equipment Junkie”.

The number of permutations and combinations in TT equipment is crazy for such a “simple” looking sport.

Real problem is when you buy all this expensive stuff and your game gets WORSE not better. You “lend” your equipment to other players and all of them seem to play better than you with your own equipment.

So you spent a lot of money, and don’t want to let anyone touch your equipment ( because it would be embarrassing for them to become “better” players using your stuff while you wallow in misery of not benefitting from your own purchases ).

So EJs tend to have a extremely absurd amount of equipment that they have spent exorbitant prices purchasing and do not want to sell it to others ( again for fear their purchase is fuelling other peoples abilities at their own expense ) but they keep buying the next “Top-10” world TT players latest equipment without even understanding the sport.

It is an endless cycle which continues as more new blood is added to the mix and more EJs end caught up in the craze.

  • You’ll find that “student accomodations” are probably the biggest scams in the UK. A lot of Indian-origin residents/citizens esp. the first-generation, they have the same “Indian” mentality. You’ll find that the 2nd-gen children of these people are more “British” and less “Indian” mindset.

Case in point, the elderly property owner does less than the “minimum” maintenance, charges crazy rent-prices, re-arranges rooms to fit the maximum occupants, almost regular issues like heating, plumbing, mold, etc completely ignored. While suddenly announcing that rent is increasing by 20% “due to inflation, or needed for maintenance” … don’t pay? get out and your deposit is forfeit. Ever showered in cold water during the entire February in the UK ?

You will find that the 2nd-gen children if they find out the elder is doing this, will immediately rectify the situation and probably takeover if they can. Else you are outta luck and on your bum in the middle of winter which no one will want to be.

  • In ten years time,

    1. Locally-sourced technology innovations.

    2. 3D-Printers in every village. ( Prints shirts, shoes, pants, socks, replacement parts )

    3. Plant-based Plastics ( seaweed and hemp/copra/palm )

    4. Total breakdown of Petro-chemicals ( Saudi, Iran, Indonesia, OPEC, Russia ) no more Petro-Global-economy

    5. CNG/LNG from Biomass and big farming takeover.

    6. Solar/Wind/Tidal Electricity generation technology maturations.

    7. Massive Trades-based Education and less PhD based international studies.

    8. Rapid Rebuild from MAJOR Disasters ( flooding, fires, tsunami, earthquake, volcano, hurricane, tornado, Cat-6 storms , etc )

    9. Any country heavily dependent on Import/Export with zero local production/productivity will go back to the StoneAge ( tough reality for small countries / city-states )

    10. Massive World-Wars everywhere. Massive Militarization ZERO Democracies surviving including USofA.

  • Farting does expel some amount of body heat.

Im sure long-distance runners might relieve themselves without stopping, as it cools them down while also a release and embarrassment which might spur their brain into flight response.

I doubt if the heat loss is significant but when actively working out or doing intense work the mind might get tricked into thinking that it benefitted.

Anecdotally when running a fever it does feel better emptying out. So not sure if physiological or psychological effect.
