What I was asking was to not completely disregard your entire opinion, like anyone who is civil should allow you to provide. This was not a hostile question which you apparently have misunderstood. The better argument is that many keyboards don’t have an Insert key. I usually use Shift+Insert myself because it’s more likely to work on all terminal types, including Windows and Linux, but have ran into times where I just don’t have an insert, like on my laptop and Chromebook. So yeah, I might switch to Ctrl+Shift+V as my go to.

Explaining that I’m a systems and infrastructure admin is actually easier for me than explaining my organization to people lol. Because it’s a local government agency that provides services to school districts, and people don’t really know we exist if they aren’t a district staff member themselves (and even then sometimes they don’t know!), and we’re a bit niche in our specific services, I usually just end up saying “school ISP” despite that only being a small part of it. 😂

Yeah I quit WoW in 2009 and never went back, which would have been 15 years ago now, and lines up with what the OP was saying for timeline. I remember all the coming class changes that would homogenize things drastically, and already being rather annoyed with how things already were, I dipped without a regret, other than losing touch with friends from there. I’m only in contact with a few of them at this point and that’s a little sad, but we all move on eventually.

Yep, if you’re in charge of managing hundreds of computers, you don’t want to guess at what it’ll do. We have our defaults but also have people who make exceptions depending on their own work needs. Tbh, I rarely use that button anyhow though, I right click on the start menu to get that menu instead and use shutdown, restart, or log out.
