Yeah that’s how I feel. It’s one thing if it’s just filling a void, but these streamers eventually end up exploiting these kids, so I’ll be relieved if she never gets the appeal of watching streamers.
Yeah I need to see if we can find a better time. Currently, after her dinner but before bed works, but may be there’s a better time
I play videogames with my 9yo daughter every night for 30-45 mins before bed. It started a few years ago with me playing and her watching, but she’s starting to drive these now. I would much rather she plays games rather than watch game streams like most of her friends.
It didn’t seem that farfetched imo. Totally something that can easily happen given the right conditions.
I think people collect baggage as they grow older. Depends on the individual if they grow from that baggage. I would ask them about the previous relationships and why they failed, and what they learned from them. If the reasons they failed feel like can happen to you, or if they seem to always place the blame on the other person and take no responsibility, then I would think hard about whether this person is the right fit for you.
Nice. I actually have a pocket microscope. I should have thought of that. It would have to wait until the next time she freaks out like this.
Thanks for the insight. I’ll ask her to slice it that way next time, but from your experience, do all seeds of an eggplant come in the same size, or do some develop before the others? There were bigger seeds in the eggplant, so she thinks those are the seeds and these are something else.
Well, yours is the only answer she agrees with, so I guess it’s right.
I’m talking a very basic robot using breadboards, icecream sticks, motors, an adruino or something like that, and making it move the arm in preconfigured motions, like circle or square, etc. Nothing fancy.
no, something basic, basically a robot arm built using motors and icecream sticks and a grip which you can make do preconfigured motions. Something like a robot claw with a marker, and you either say ‘circle’, or a push a button for circle, and it draws a circle on paper by moving the arm in a circular motion. Does that make sense?
One of her classmates did a jumping robot for this science fair, and she’s now pumped about building her own robot for next year. It would mostly be me, but I’ll teach her stuff and she’ll hopefully pick up knowledge about these things over the course of building this. It’s only due next year, so we have a whole year.
This minus the pills. I have a smart watch that clearly shows that I don’t recover well if I go to bed late, but I always go to bed an hour later than I should ideally go, and always end up sleep deprived. I desperately need to cut this shit out.
I haven’t created an epic account even for the free games I don’t care how many awesome games they give out for free. Fuck Epic
Which is true, honestly. The wolf needs to eat to live, and the duck/hen needs not to be eaten to live.
I’ve been liking Mr. Einstein’s Secretary by Matthew Reilly so far. It’s far from his usual high octane thrillers (my guilty pleasures) and is written very well.

Thar cat holds a huge grudge against someone in the house
What’s the point of this book? It’s nothing new, and would never change anything about the situation.
Add long as it has nothing to do with Linux, I don’t care
