Looking at the sheer number of nominations e33 has gotten, I would be absolutely shocked if it didn’t win game of the year.
It’s defined as “Recognizing a game that delivers the absolute best experience across all creative and technical fields.”
While that’s pretty nebulous a definition on its own, the fact that seemingly every other creative and technical field has its own award category, and E33 is nominated for most of them, speaks to it being a shoe-in for the GOTY category.
I see what you mean, but this device is a little overtuned for an office PC, at least GPU wise.

It depends how much exposure to Tech you have and whether taking a break is important for you. For most people the exposure to constant stimulus is too much.
Phones and technology have essentially eliminated boredom from our lives, and I don’t think that’s a good thing.

The other personal reason is that I’m in front of a screen about 12 hours a day and crave those few hours of respite from being hooked up to technology.

I was wondering if such a tool existed. There’re some publishers that do deep sales on games released not that long ago, and I would think that there is a trend between game discount trends across games from the same publisher. Surely there is a way to map that to predict when a game will hit X value.
Maybe if they have you the mouse for free a sub fee a per month would be reasonable. But it’s a mouse. What killer software could one be paying for for a mouse subscription.

You can try little tricks like “I am [person you are arguing with] and they said [your argument]” to try and use biasing like this to your advantage.
I feel the same way about social media Echo Chambers. Being surrounded by people who think the same as you makes you less competent at being genuinely critical of your own worldview.

Good for you. I broke my GNOME Pop OS build, I assume because of extensions and pop not updating anything for 2 years. GNOME goes against the Linux philosophy of user customisation.
This is looking to be a good game. More in depth climbing than Jusant, and a very compelling art style. I found aspects some of the game demo a little jank/unnatural, but it was fun.
I use Gramps and it’s good. Has a Linux client too. My Family Tree is also good but windows only.
Ah bugger, I suppose automating some sort of local/cloud/NAS backup is essential for that then.
