This comment will make me sound like an idiot, but I’m just coming to believe that all of Musk’s decisions with X were targeted to this very outcome. To be the world’s centre of alt right propaganda. It just makes too much sense now.

Haha guilty as charged. Cool rage by the way. Neato
Feels like simply teaching media literacy would do this job. Is that what they mean? I thought that was a given in any English curriculum.
Since launch I’ve had to download two patches already. I’m playing on ps5 so it’s uncertain whether they’d help you or not, but that’s all to say that you may be able to play sooner than later since they’re offering so much post-release support.
Thanks for the high quality and good faith comment.
Big Remedy fan so picked this up day one thanks to positive reviews. While I enjoy it, it suffers from the same problem I felt from Alan Wake 1: the combat is too hard and not that fun. Looks like I’ll be preferring the easy difficult again. That’s okay, still a confident and strong game so far.
Damn, new copypasta just dropped.
This is classic cognitive disonnance. If they liked the person who made the car, I’m almost certain their mind would be different. This phenomena is particularly obvious whenever you see something that was once popular fall from grace. See the conversation around Justin Roiland or even Reddit before and after their respective controversies. You start to see the people say things to the tune of “blank was never good anyway.”
I respectfully disagree with you entirely. Patrick offered up many good points, but his best came from his breakdown of exactly how the AI might do a better job of using Wes Anderson tropes. Matter of fact, your recount of the video is so wildly different from my viewing, it’s hard to believe you’ve written your post in good faith. I wonder, what do you know that I don’t know?
Thanks for the suggestion, I have been using wefwef, now renamed voyager, and while I am appreciating it I cannot move past that it’s a web app.
It’s fun to see them getting it from all angles, but the users really should just get out of there since it’s obvious nothing is going to significantly change. The loudest and most effective protest of all is to just leave- but people don’t like the effort it takes to change something in your routine like which site you doomscroll through.
Isn’t brave having its own controversy right now?
It’s truly tragic and sad to helplessly watch the whole industry be consolidated by massive company’s. And now we are seeing the results as games have in general become so much less innovative and safe than historically.
You nailed it. I joined reddit circa 2011 and what the site has become is just night and day by comparison. It used to feel actually engaging to interact with folks. If I’m understanding the UI correctly, lemmy doesn’t record an overall “karma”. This should discourage farming.
Replace? Absolutely not. But it will definitely be a viable product alongside.
I think that as a result of the size of reddit, it was unlikely to have engagement when you commented, and it was common to get unkind engagement if it did happen. It’s nice to have a fresh start, but since there’s less of us, it is also a much more intimate experience.

Truth is USA only, so X has a much broader reach.
