The skiiers keep telling me it is a great year, one of the greatest ever. Let me tell you, I don’t skii I don’t know how to do it, I am lazy piece of shit president and you can’t cheat at skiing like you can at golf so what is the point, no gain for all pain just like my kids hahaha, but damn well you would be surprised how many people come up to me and say mr president I just want to say thank you for this amazing skii year, my family has had such a great time and it is all thanks to your administration cutting redtape so we can get snow our on mountains -pause- isn’t it nice when young girls come up to you and talk to you? we should get them more snow using I don’t know I think we should try using jet engines for snowmakers maybe we should look into that you know those skii mountains are great for fundraising events I have sold a lot of shoes there and there are lots of highheels on young wealthy women there too, not as wealthy as me, but you know surprisingly wealthy for girls, not anything like how nice my old friend Jeff used to get them done up nice in jewels with though… Anyways, where was I, yes… -sways to the music silently for a moment- ah there I was at the joke part of my rambling stupid drivel that comes right after my joke reference to sexual assault of minors and sex trafficking, Who would have thought you sell the most shoes at a skii mountain which you don’t need shoes for!! It is a mystery like why I am supposedly attracted to women but also I hate them and treat them like trash, I should ask JD if that makes me gay JUST KIDDING.

  • Which is why everyone that was going to order them (India) has greatly pulled back their orders.

Well that and much of the world is pressuring India to move away from Russia.

And I promise you, the F-35 is definitely not bullshit.

I am not saying the F35 isn’t a capable aircraft physically, I consider it a failure at a program level.

I ultimately agree the Su-57 is a vaporwave plane, a glorified demonstrator, but that doesn’t mean the airframe itself isn’t highly capable, rather it makes that potential advantage categorically irrelevant.

When it comes to a F-22 vs Su-57 the idea that there would ever be a fair fight vastly misunderstands the competency mismatch of the militaries that possess them, the difference in performance specs on paper is irrelevant, the Su-57 loses end of story.

  • I don’t doubt the validity of the aerospace engineering in the Su-57, it clearly has inherent performance advantages over a design such as the F-35 and maybe even in some ways the F-22, but yeah the idea that russia can actually regularly field a stealth aircraft enough for it to really matter is laughable given how much other well funded, more competent militaries seem to struggle with it. I doubt russia’s software and integration of the weapons systems with doctrine would remotely even be able to take full advantage of the airframe’s potential either.

As much as the F35 is bullshit, the focus on systems integration, software and datasharing in the design of the F35 is definitely not bullshit and russia has simply not done the hardwork to bang out the details and make everything actually work under wartime conditions in order to actually leverage the value of the fighter-bomber they built.

The true value of a multirole air dominance stealth fighter-bomber is to open the door and cover the entry of other more traditional fighting forces into a highly hostile defensive line. That utility is nearly useless if there isn’t tight coordination between the aircraft opening the door and the forces charging through it.

If an actually competent nation was producing and maintaining the Su-57 I think it would be a very different story, but this is not that story.

I imagine the most useful aspect of the Su-57 to the russian air force is that they are theoretically invisible to most of their own radar systems/air defenses so it reduces the risk they will be shot down in a friendly fire incident while on surprise combat missions that weren’t telegraphed to friendly air defense crews way ahead of time.

  • Until that particular model of tank is obsolete in a given theater of war and the enemy has access to effective anti-tank weapons.

You have to understand, when an explosion is triggered in these tanks because russia was stupid enough to actually put ammunition into a T-62 and send it into combat, it turns the tank into a pressure cooker.

It is much much much much worse to be inside a tank undergoing an internal pressurized detonation than in the general vicinity of an explosive munition detonating, as bad as an alternative as it is to have no armor at all at least you aren’t trapped in an enclosed space with an immense shock of heat/kinetic energy enveloping your body like you would be if you are inside a tank/armored vehicle that has just had its armor penetrated by an anti-tank weapon.

I am not saying tanks are obsolete, what I am saying is T-62s are obsolete, they are worse than nothing and the fact that they are so heavy to boot means that they take up an immense amount of the logistical supply chain for moving equipment and supplies to the front that could be used for much more valuable equipment and supplies.

  • It must be those illegal immigrants smuggling in warm weather along with all the fetanyl!

I look out the window at a pleasant weather day.

    Thats it, IVE HAD IT.

I smash the icebutton on my refrigerator door.

My pockets filled, armed to the teeth I step outside and unload a whole clip of cubes on a sunny bit of sidewalk with a nice bench to sit on.

“Try to have a nice peaceful moment there NOW you damn illegals!!!” - I scream at a tan native american woman wisely crossing the street to avoid me.

Later while at home alone, empty and soggy, I ask the mirror “Why is the universe always conspiring against me?”.

  • Agreed. It demonstrates the fatal weakness of fascism in war though, fascism interfaces with humans in a way that always devalues them.

A single engineer can change the course of a war, but used as just another soldier with a gun, an engineer by comparison is just another disposable trigger finger.

If we invest in engineers instead of telling them to shut up, take an assault rifle and run to their pointless death like russia does we will crush russia to pieces.

…which isn’t to say being infantry is easy or something for simpleminded people at all but human wave tactics are a shocking waste…
