hundredthousandThere’s plenty of archeological evidence that the populations of Scandinavia are more or less those that followed the ice and were the first to populate the region after the ice age. That is: They are the native or “original” inhabitants of the land.
Canada had the Residential School system, which was a genocide, don’t take my word for it, it’s one of the conclusions the Truth and Reconciliation report described as a cultural genocide, archive link. The last federal school closed in 1997, there’s been mass graves found at some of these in the news over the last decade. Many of these schools were religious and as recently as 2017 the PM was seeking a formal apology from the pope (of the Christian denoms, Catholicism is the majority).
Canada’s history is almost more sinister, we’d do well to never forget that if we want to address the systemic problems that remain to this day.
OK, so Canada is only as real as USA then, I don’t see how that helps Musk’s argument.

Canada’s history (including very recent history) with natives has been bad, which includes the forced assimilation programs that didn’t end until the mid 1990’s…
Anglo Canada’s and US history is the same from the late 16th century until US’ Independence in the late 18th century… Then it was just the same thing but by two different countries.
