      If non-citizens don’t get due process, nobody does. All they have to do is claim you’re not a citizen and then good luck proving you are one without due process.

        some people don’t seem to realize why it’s called the law of the land, not the law of the citizens.

      But that’s the point. If he can do it to people here legally and the other branches don’t push back and/or he ignores judgements concerning it, then the laws start to become meaningless and he’s little less than a king. After that it’s a slippery slope to detaining citizens for speaking poorly about the government, it’s officials or Trump himself.

      It doesn’t matter, not every right in the Constitution applies only to citizens. All people here have the protection of the first amendment.

      Or, they are supposed too. But the current administration is denying them due process.

      Do you really believe that it’s going to play out any differently for the rest of us? If they will walk on the rights of non-citizens they will walk on the rights of citizens to.

      They will just start with the most vulnerable populations, disabled folks and trans folks. Oh look they have already started
