• Republicans warn against mocking Kirk’s death, threaten dire consequences
  • At least 15 people fired or suspended for allegedly disrespecting Kirk’s memory
  • Online campaigns directed by Republicans continue to target Kirk’s critics online

WASHINGTON, Sept 13 (Reuters) - After the fatal shooting of right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk, U.S. Republicans have a warning for Americans: Mourn him respectfully or suffer the consequences.

Over the past several days, Democratic and Republican leaders have widely condemned the murder of Kirk, a 31-year-old activist and Trump world celebrity known for his hard-right views and pugnacious debating style.

I can’t say I feel sorry for him, specifically.

But anyone who can’t agree with the fact that us being here, where a man (whether you agree or not) was shot at a public event for his beliefs and people are celebrating it, is absolutely insane for things to have gotten to this level, needs to do a bit of thinking.

And I mean that as, whether you think it was his beliefs (which I fully believe are WILD) that led to him being shot because they had no basis in reality and only sowed hate or the guy who shot him was crazy and shot him, we all need to admit, this situation is so far out of normal that I’m not sure there’s a chance to go back.

Agreed - but I’m not going to mourn him. And I think those lionizing him should be noted, doxxed and have their place of employment notified.

Because they are honoring a Nazi.

Correction, he was not shot because of his beliefs, he was shot because of his actions: running a Republican fascist media company.

I am sick to fucking death of people saying that we are ok when assholes like this die because we hate their beliefs. They were not hated because of their beliefs. They were hated because of their fucking shitty actions and the shitty words that came with those. Get the fuck out of here with this fucking belief bullshit.
