If you give him even the slightest pushback, he freaks out. The thing is, we need to keep pushing and pushing without letting him yell “Fake News!” or call a reporter “nasty.” Keep pushing and he’ll melt down.
This leads to a breakdown which manifests as angry outbursts, irritable or defensive behavior, and verbal or physical aggression. … It can result in harm to the person with NPD and those around them.
This chieftain* created secret police out of whole cloth without constitutional justification. That does sort of give opponents pause when trying to figure out how to effectively fight back.
*A friend of mine coined this derogatory use of the word years ago, in reference to the easiest difficulty of Civilization games being Chieftain.

As a German, I had to laugh at “NPD” as this is the name of the predecessor of the current Nazi party AfD, and this is just such a perfect fit.
Technically the NPD is the predecessor of the new outspoken nazi-party “Die Heimat” and not the AfD but the sentiment holds true
