^^ Every time I play Skyrim
Ah yes, lets do an orc warrior build, and focus on one handed weapons and shields. With a side dabbling of stealth archer.
I always start out with a random race, head in the opposite direction of Riverwood, eat everything I can pick up, and just start making and selling potions lol. Then I use the money to buy iron ore and start crafting daggers and selling those. Along the way, I may take a few side quests for extra cash. Then eventually buy or build a house.
By the time I finally go to Riverwood to start the main game, I’m…a fully Daedric-clad stealth archer. Every time. lol. (I don’t quite have the patience to level smithing to 100 for dragonbone, so I upgrade that along the way of the main quest).

Stalhrim FTW
I started trying to make rules for my build. I had a few mods to help with it like paying blacksmiths or alchemists to craft for you if that skill wouldn’t have made sense for the character.
I tried to pick 1 main combat and 1 side combat of close, ranged, or magic and pick one of the 3 crafting trees. I also tried to walk or take the carriage as often as possible. A mod added more carriage locations and some ferrys. I did dabbled with some realisitic weight and survival mods but i found that stuff too tedious. Although i did like carrying gems over gold as some of them had a better weight to value ratio.
I have yet to play Skyrim with any mods even though I’d really like to. Only thing I have are the DLCs.
Getting it to run under Wine has been challenging enough (though it’s a lot easier these days) so I didn’t want to even attempt to mix mods into it.
Ive just come to accept regular crashes and autosave as often as i can. I consider 1 crash an hour or less to be stable enough

And on Switch this happens every time I play Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
I usually just end up closing steam and going back to doomscrolling Lemmy/YouTube.
I had a quiet night to myself so I thought I’d crack open the copy of Samurai Shodown on my shelf that I’ve been staring at for a few years. I played some Shodown back in my ZSNES days, I bet I can dust off the old skills!
So anyway, three matches in and the computer has so thoroughly whipped me that I think maybe I could use a slightly more relaxing pace of game.
So I open up the copy of Metal Slug XX on my shelf that I’ve been staring at for a few years. I played some Metal Slug back in my ZSNES days, I bet I can dust off the old skills!
So anyway, a couple of levels in and the computer has so thoroughly whipped me that I decide to fall back to good ol’ Broforce. Nice relaxing Broforce…

the amount of times ive restarted skyrim is staggering
same with fallout new vegas, but i got bored of that one now
Oh hello again Terraria. Plus I just found out that last year they re-released the first “final update” of the game from 2012 as a beta on steam, basically making it easy to play the old content again. So I’m sure I’ll give that a go this weekend.
And thats okay.
Play, what you want, not what you want to play.
I just mesaage a friend to ask if they have time and if they do we play war thunder
The factory must grow.
That was me for a long time. Now it’s guild wars 2.
Wait… is this actually jerma?! where is this from?
I started a new obsession with Total war 3 Kingdoms. There is several mods that basically adds new campaigns with new mechanics so I’ve just been doing that. I recently completed a campaign that was labelled “very hard”. You start out as a vassal state with really strong neighbors who will go to war with you at the drop of a hat. I restarted that campaign like 6 times just to be able to survive the starting situation.
I’ve tried other Total War games but this one i feel got everything right, from the interface to diplomacy. I tried the forst Warhammer one and Rome and didn’t like them. So i got a refund before that ran out.
I just finished Doom 3 after getting it for free on GoG a while back. It’s… not terrible really. Not as good as the average Doom game, but not as bad as people made it out to be. The combat is weak, but the atmosphere is great.
Ah yes, I will start a new farm on Stardew Valley.
Don’t give yourself carpal tunnel like I did
Time for some more Factorio (Or Satisfactory depending on the mood)!
This resonates, but I just started both Shadow Warrior II and Kingdom Come Deliverance II so now I have a different problem.
