Whichever high-ranking person in the Venezuelan government agrees to give Trump and his oil barons everything they want.

He’ll give it to Elon first. They’ll probably build bunkers there with US tax dollars and when they start to actually meaningfully be held accountable in the US they’ll go hide in them.

Constitution is existing VP. I don’t see the possibility of pure theft of resources government surviving, nor the US having the capability to directly govern Venezuela. Asking for private US investment in the country is tough, because sooner or later, it will get nationalized again. Maybe the US will pay Venezuela army to steel resources for them, and that would explain the minimal resistance to the helicopter operation.

Currently, the Venezuelan Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, is in Russia. She would likely be acting as President Anna isn’t at risk of being kidnapped by the USA. The question right now is whether the Venezuelan government can maintain its chain of command as the USA attacks it.

The USA is likely hoping for a coup where the current government falls. If that happens, the successor will likely be a choice of the Venezuelan military and internal security ministries.

    One of Maduro’s cabinet

    Maduro and Trump are friends

Maduro gets to escape his country and save face instead of being assassinated or executed.

Trump gets to manufacture a conflict so he can start martial law and become a dictator, and to distract from us learning he came inside little girls.
