WASHINGTON (AP) — The wife of Renee Good, the woman shot and killed in her car by a federal immigration agent in Minneapolis, says the couple had stopped to support their neighbors on the day of the shooting and described the mother of three as leaving a legacy of kindness.
“We had whistles. They had guns,” Becca Good said in a written statement Friday that was provided to Minnesota Public Radio.
The statement was her first public comment about the death of Renee Good, 37, who was killed Wednesday after three Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers surrounded her Honda Pilot SUV on a snowy street a few blocks from the couple’s home. Video taken by bystanders show an officer approaching the SUV stopped across the middle of the road, demanding the driver open the door and grabbing the handle.
Trump administration officials have painted Renee Good as a domestic terrorist who tried to run over an officer with her vehicle. State and local officials in Minneapolis, as well as protesters, have rejected that characterization.

That whole neighborhood should have brought out guns at that moment.
I mean, yes, I guess we’re going that direction, but the fact we’ve gotten to this point is horrible.
I’m more for neutralizing the threat before defensive measures are needed. Like, where is the actual authority to stop these killers? ACAB and all that, but people are above the cops, and someone at some point needs to do the job they’re paid to do in protecting the public. It may get to the public fending for itself, but it shouldn’t.
That would’ve ended with a lot more of the neighbors dead.

Nah, remember all the times the right protested while armed? Remember all the times the law came down hard? Me neither.
That’s because the right and law enforcement are the same thing.
There are more on the right than just cops. But conservatism is the philosophy of cowards, and that’s why the cops didn’t fire on them.
It’s been repeatedly demonstrated that a line of calm riflemen backing protestors prevents police from rioting or doing anything they shouldn’t.
The Black Panthers bore arms and escorted people. The establishment became much more respectful of the innocent, when they didn’t have a monopoly on violence.
Power to the people ✊
These are different times.
History doesn’t repeat itself. But it sure does rhyme. Look what is happening in Iran. That’s our future of we don’t show our teeth. I don’t want the violence to get worse and I don’t think we are there yet, but if it does get there I don’t want the other side to have an easy time killing us.
Run the experiment. Don’t just say so.

Oh, I’m happy to. But I’m one person. Organized armed resistance is the way to go. So that’s why I’m calling for more. Fighting fascists is a good way to go.
