Me: No thanks, I’m pretty sure there is some electronic war going on between you and my ad blocker causing it.

Once in a while I see small banner ads that probably still work because they’re directly embedded in the site, instead of loading from some third-party ad syndication server. I usually think “that’s how you do advertising!”, especially if it’s a still image instead of something that moves.
