Maher Tarabishi’s family had hoped he could be present to say his final goodbyes to his son, Wael.

Maher, Wael’s primary caretaker, has been in federal detainment since October, separating him from his son as he battled severe health complications from a serious and rare inherited disorder.

But despite the family’s public pleas for Maher’s temporary release, Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials denied their request, his attorney said

Seems pretty clear to me that my country is no longer a beacon of freedom or justice. 2nd amendment resolutions are starting to look necessary.

We will know in November… Or earlier if elections are canceled as I expect.

Or even “family values” for that matter. How the hell can you claim to be focused on families while doing shit like this.

The son had only known his father as his care taker for his entire life. The administration who claims they’re locking up “the worst of the worst,” had to detain a father (during what he thought would be another normal immigration check in just like he had been complying with for the past 20+ years) who had devoted himself to caring for his son.

The son’s condition began to decline almost as soon as his father was detained because nobody else really understood how to care for him. His dying wish was to see his father one last time, and not only did the family first administration deny him that wish, they wouldn’t even allow the father to be temporarily released to attend his funeral.

I doubt most people on Lemmy voted for Trump. I certainly didn’t. I believe the dumb cunts you are looking for are over on X.

Yes, me, the dumb cunt that has voted in every election for progressive leaders. My apologies to my fellow Americans for electing Trump.

A third voted for him. One third. Another third didn’t like either choice and didn’t vote. The final third bit the bullet and voted for Harris.

So, by your statement, you believe all Americans voted for Trump twice. Another person unwilling to think before writing and also full of blind hate, I presume? I’m only guessing since those two sentences are my only insight into your personality. There’s actually growing evidence that someone (cough ELON cough) hacked the election counting machines in several states and altered the votes. Obviously, until the evidence is presented and verified it can’t be assumed correct, but Trump himself alluded to Elon’s help in Pennsylvania during a post-victory speech.

          Jesus Christ dude.

Holy Jesus Christ you’re fucking gone dude.

Oh? So you don’t believe all Americans voted for Trump twice? You simply assumed that I personally was (A) American, and (B) voted for Trump twice? I’m not sure, because “Jesus Christ dude” doesn’t really tell me much, but I feel you think my supposition of the meaning of your rather generic accusation was ludicrous.

Holy Jesus Christ you’re fucking gone dude.

I am? Where? I was simply referring to this information. I’m not asserting it’s accurate or “totally true”, but it is evidence. Oh, yeah, this speech was kind of suspicious too. But hey, what do I know? ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Once again, your response leaves me wondering what you mean and why you mean it. You might want to go back and review the language and communications notes from your secondary school classes. Usually they’re the ones teaching “debate” and “logic” skills, too.

Simply derisively dismissing me is not the same as “proving me wrong”. It’s deflection. It gives me the sense you don’t know what’s going on, but you “feel it in your gut”.
