For a while it was “let him cook” which, I think, meant ‘give them a chance, they seem to be on to something’, but now when something goes bad people say it’s “cooked”. My question is, was it a mistake to let them cook? Thank you.

If I say “that’s cold blooded” does that confuse you about the meaning of things that are “cool”?

“Cooked” refers to things that have overheated and thus, broken. “cooking” refers to trying tings out and innovating.
