now THIS is pod racing
I am very interested in this, but the fact they’re “slow rolling” actual pod racing is…an odd choice. Everybody universally liked Episode 1 Racer. Why are they not focusing primarily on pod racing, with other types of vehicles also there?
Seems weird that it’s the other way around and makes me think this is another Star Wars Squadrons, which is a game I was extremely excited about, but the controls sucked on and EA botched.
I literally don’t care that it’s star wars.
I’m just happy to see AG racing still be alive.
WipEout and F-Zero are gone, seemingly never to return.
What is AG?
It stands for Anti-Gravity. In the late 90s and early 00s, it was somewhat of a niche genre. Basically it was a racing game where your ride didn’t have wheels.
Prequel movie interest or opinion doesn’t matter, the first game on N64/Dreamcast/PC was incredible regardless. I replayed recently and it’s still good. Love the damage model/repairing and being able to buy used parts from the junkyard, and maybe controversial but I vastly prefer Racer handling and course design to Wipeout.
I didn’t watch the Disney stuff at all and won’t, potentially this scratches the same itch. I hope so anyways. I couldn’t get into the PS2 sequel so it’s possible to disappoint.
I just bought the restored wipeout on my ps5…felt like home
Wow. Burnout: Galactic Racer is looking kinda sick.
At least they finally showed more environments than “flat desert junkyard”, and some jumps.

It’s crazy that it isn’t. I know it has a couple pod racers, but IMO they fucked up not making it a strictly pod racer game.
Points for the wrecked ISDs.
Really needs a RPG or at least a rogue lite system on top or it’s going to struggle to keep an audience.
