“Y’all…”
And, my favorite, “all’a y’all”.
Example 1:
“Fuck all’a y’all!”Example 2:
“We’re having a party and all’a y’all are invited.”I know y’all’re gonna hate me for this, but y’all’ve’nt told me y’alls stance on contractions
The correctly punctuated version actually somehow has even more fucking apostrophes…
Except that one isn’t as good for a general greeting as it means “each of you individually”
“Y’all suck” - the group of you sucks
“All’a y’all suck” - each of you individually sucks, there is not a one of you who doesn’t, the group also sucking is implied
A general greeting is generally addressed to the crowd, with collective individual statements being more intimate and often only used during more emotional statements. Eg, “all y’all have contributed to the success that brought us here tonight, thank you” is normal, but “all y’all’ve been an excellent audience tonight” ain’t right
As a southern refugee living in the PNW, I say this all the time at work. It’s the best gender neutral way to address a group.
Hey meatbags!
And for the dismount as you leave:

There was discussion about what the NYC subway announcements should say instead of “ladies and gentlemen”.
My vote was “listen up you little shits, [this train is going express until canal Street or whatever]”
I think they went with “everyone”, however.
Another choice would be “Hey! We’re drivin’ heah!”
I like the preantepenultimate one, and I’m not just saying that to use the word.
That would 100% be a legitimate enough reason, though 😁

HI DR. NICK!
“Kings and Queens and In-betweens”
“Theydies and gentlethem”
“Hey ladies, hey fellas, and the people that don’t give a FUCK” - inclusive king Fred Durst
In not going to say Limp Bizkit sucks, you know it, I know it, I’m not going to say it.
-Trent Reznor
In undergrad I had an O-Chem Prof, from England, who would start each class by gathering our collective attention with, “Oi, You Lot!”. Awesome and Epic
😘👌
Girls gays and theys isn’t trying to be inclusive at all though?
It’s basically a way to say “anyone that isn’t a straight man”
Alright everybody, be cool, this is a robbery.
Hello everyone,
Hi everybody! But only ever in Dr. Nick’s voice.
How are you? Fine, thank you.
Bold!
I like J Kenji Lopze-Alt’s “Guys, Gals, and non-binary pals” for inclusivity and being not overly-formal. Then again, I’m a cishet guy so feel free to point out any flaws I may not see.
“Attention Bajoran workers”
“Hi”
My social skills are beyond your comprehension
