I know things are unfolding quickly, but I’ve seen reports of attacks on the Dubai and Kuwait airports. In both cases reports are attributing it to Iran doing it in response to the US/Isreali attacks, but none seem to say why?

So why is Iran targeting them and not the US or Israel? I’m having trouble making it make sense.

They’re attacking US military bases in those countries which are being used as bases to bomb and kill their citizens.

Technically, they are not attacking Dubai or Kuwait per se, they are attacking US military bases located there. Which, of course, poses a risk for the environment.

When a US base shoots down an incoming missile, it is going to land somewhere. And this somewhere might be in normal civilian areas of the hosting country.

As others in this thread have said, they’re attacking US military bases. Problem is two-fold: missiles aren’t always 100% accurate due to malfunctions, poor design, or anti-guidance EW systems, also the bases are surrounded by ballistic missile defenses, which basically shoot missiles at incoming missiles. This means that there is a strong likelihood that nearby civilian areas will be hit.

I hope Iran bombs the crap out of isreal. Let them suffer the same level of destruction that Palestinians have suffered at their hands.
