I hope you’re right about the rubicks cube. I never had one as a kid and no one I knew did but my kid brought one home a few months ago and I’ve been working with it off and on. One day I’ll give up and look up how to do it but until then I’ll keep being bested by a children’s toy.

It’s a tricky puzzle, but I think you’ll find you’ll have more success if you focus on getting just the middle cross on each side the same color
Or, you can try one side at a time, but that’s never workes for me
