The /r’s for NSFL/WPD/LFO type videos keep getting banned on, and users are looking around for some place to post them.

I feel this is an opportunity for Lemmy to get some more users and goodwill.

!crazyfuckingvideos!crazyfuckingvideos@lemmy.world might fit the bill, but I’m leery of filling .world’s /everything feed with gore and that kind of stuff.

fedinsfw.app is another thought I had, but I doubt people there would want gore mixed in with their T&A.

That pretty much leaves starting a new server for NSFL.

Any other ideas?

this is an opportunity for Lemmy to get some more users and goodwill.

Making some grand assumptions on those “users” being desirable or in any way a net positive.

Host your own instance if everyone bans them. Not only because of your control over the content, but because you will not burden their servers.

Google for fediverse instance block lists and pick one of the right-wing cesspits that brag about their “free speech” and “no censorship” policies. Let’s see how much free speech they really tolerate.

Or try these Lemmy instances. They’re already trash, so no worries about ruining anything:

I knew what the first one is, I managed to find the second one. Nothing about the third one other than Low Frequency Oscillator.

Learning from Others, basically people getting their Darwin Awards, dying from something stupid. 😬

I’ll stick with the low frequency oscillators…

There are so many great free virtual instruments these days.

Threadiverse instances aren’t really rigged up for hosting video. Some will handle certain formats of video files, but the size is normally limited, and IIRC they don’t guarantee that they’ll retain the video for an extended period of time. I guess that one could link to externally-hosted ones.

I’d kind of suggest that PeerTube is really more oriented towards video posting.

    https://peertube.fediverse.observer/

I guess someone could post to a PeerTube instance and then submit their posted video to the Threadiverse for discussion or something.
