What dude? The Dude dude? We may have very different definitions of “lazy” if you think the Dude is “lazy”.
The Dude is lazy if you watch that movie he is in the running for the laziest person in Los Angeles which would put him for laziest person in the world.
What is lazy about having everything you could ever want, except for your rug?

Indeed it did. And if he’s happy like that, with a tied together room, and doesn’t need anything else, why go out of his way to look busy? OP should notice how he did indeed get busy once the room wasn’t tied together anymore.
