When I was a kid, in America, I got a huge gash in my head that required stitches. It took them so long to see me in the waiting room they had to reopen the wound to stitch it shut.
Same, I fell at summer camp and spent so long in the ER I dozed off, they just used a butterfly bandaid on my head though (nice scar under my eyebrow). My parents were pissed about the bill.

That’s especially nuts since head injuries usually get priority.
