    Yup, it’s called Pad Kee Mao in Thai. Vietnam isn’t known for its spicy food (there’s a lot of French influence to their cuisine), whereas Thailand very much is the home of hot food.

      Sounds like I made a dumb dumb and it was actually a Thai food cart, not Vietnamese. It’s been over 10 years since I went there, so I think I just cited the wrong country of origin for it.

      They had Pad Kee Mao on the menu too, and their drunken noodles were basically the same recipe, just with fettuccine-like noodles instead of the wide egg noodles.
