Y Combinator is a huge driver behind the AI push, not sure why you think it’s not part of the evil empire if the rest of them are? Matter of fact, OpenAI grew out Y combinator while Altman was president.
As for the other thing, I could see how it’s a joke aiming at those rich people and NOT gay people. Some 15-20 years ago, gay was used pretty much how “cringe” is now, without sexuality even being important. I reckon a ton of people have called someone gay online without actually hating gay people.

The person who made this calls people and things gay all the time. Now, not 15-20 years ago. I’m nearly 50, so I have a lot of experience seeing gay used as a bad thing.
