I haven’t actually seen Tron: Legacy, but I assume the film cannot possibly be as good as the Daft Punk album it came with.

It’s not. It’s a subpar plot and some questionable acting carried by gorgeous visuals and a stellar soundtrack.

It’s still my favourite movie of all time, but the soundtrack is stil better.

Pirates of the Caribbean. The plot, characters, actors, and effects are fine enough. Specifically the plot is bland; it’s deliberately a hodgepodge of everything piratey tossed into a blender. Johnny Depp’s performance is excellent, but more because it feels the script was shaped around his eccentric dude persona rather than them stretching their skills. None of this makes the film bad just mediocre.

… but the score is a masterpiece. Instantly iconic, filled with layered motifs, carries the sense of adventure and perfectly shapes the mood of each scene. Both catchy enough to become an earworm, but orchestral and textured enough that it’s not unwelcome as one.

The phantom menace is still probably the second best main-line star war second to empire strikes back.

I had the Star war jibblies with first Rey StarWar cycle but phantom menace has all the good of any starwar

The Phatom Menace hits sooo much differently if you’ve read the books to fill in a lot of gaps that the movie itself doesn’t take time to explain. I would say AotC and RotS don’t suffer from this as much, but The Phantom Menace does stand out in this regard.

Spawn. The movie was laughably bad and I have banned it from my memory. However, the soundtrack is a collection of collaboration between metal bands and electronic artists and is really awesome.

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AA8eEULzcY&list=PLN3IXyARrKqPDmud2Cc2AXOwh_4DLT-nW

Note that this is not some sort of official soundtrack; rather, it’s apparently just a playlist of songs that appeared in the movie, uploaded by different users, which might mean that volume and encodings or maybe that versions are not consistent with those in the movie. I don’t see an official soundtrack on YouTube Music; one might never have been released.

I know I’m putting forward a series but Blood of Zeus has one of the best soundtrack work I’ve heard. It feels epic, thematic and is actually tailored to each scene and the characters in it.

It’s like Peter and the Wolf on steroids turned into a proper composed orchestra set in Greek mythology on every episode. Writing and voice acting is good enough but the show becomes one of my favorites because of the music.

Queen of the Damned was an abysmal movie with a surpassing solid soundtrack with some of the biggest names in music at the time collaborating.

Jonathan Davis of Korn wrote half the songs and sang in the movie, but his record contract stated that he couldn’t appear on an album put out by another label, so the solution was to bring in guest artists to sing instead. Chester Bennington from Linkin Park, Wayne Static from Static-X, David Draiman from Disturbed, and Jay Gordon from Orgy. If you were a nuMetal fan back then, this was an all-star lineup.

Also, honorable mention to Batman & Robin for being absolute dogshit but having one of the Smashing Pumpkins’ best songs on it.
