I’ve lost 3 men in my life to suicide, 1 very close and very recently. What resources can I engage with to help. Literally what can I do, outside of generic advice, what’s an action I can proactively take. Are suicide hotlines still a thing? Is being an operator on there possible and what qualifications are there.

The sad harsh reality is that, there’s not much that could be done unless you’re to commit them to therapy or have a wellness check summoned on them.
Suicide hotlines are only as good if someone suicidal has the willpower to call them, unfortunately, that’s either here or there.
But if someone wants to really go, they’re going to go and there’s nothing you can do about it.
