The White House is barring CNN from flying on Air Force One on Saturday as part of the news outlet’s duties covering the president on behalf of major television networks.
Their President is already running around unchecked by the media. Not being on the plane with him just means you’re not having to “report” whatever demented nonsense he spewed while you had to share air with him and his soiled diaper.
There’s a pretty good argument that the entire concept of the White House Press pool, flying on the plane working in the building being beholden to the White House for access, by definition means that they’re not checking the president. That part of the reason why our media has been so incapable of reporting critically on the president for decades now is because of this kind of access.
