In the US, midterms are just over a month away. New officeholders will take office early next year. As things stand, the Democrats are very probably going to take the House of Representatives and looking more likely than not to take the Senate. Either will give them the power to conduct investigations into Executive Branch activity. I would predict unprecedented use of this power. I’d bet that a lot of Trump administration figures are going to be spending most of the next two years sitting in front of Congress being grilled and with the Executive turning over information on its activities to Congress, some which will probably wind up in the press.

Democrats will take congress but they won’t do anything with their power. They never have, why would it be any different this time?
Let’s pretend this isn’t a sure thing and get out any vote assuming team red is going to come out in droves!
Best case scenario it will stop most of the damage, but with veto power from the white house, nothing will get fixed.
Oh bless your bleeding heart. If only.
