I reject the notion of “non-sea otters”! Enhydra are the weirdos among the Lutrinae, and the default assumption of otter should be Lutra, Lontra, Aonyx etc.
My theory is that otters have hacked the Wikipedia page in an attempt to erase the photo proof so that no one sees it and wants to steal their special rock!

But do the otters then become emotionally bonded to the rock, such that even when offered an objectively better rock, they often value the sentimental above the practical?
I’m no expert (not even close,) but from what I understood of what I had read about them, it sounds like they do. I can be the same haha
