When I built my gaming pc and my NAS I put 64GB DDR5 in them. Several people questioned my decision as overkill. Now I wish I’d gone 128GB on both, just to have it.
I did the same, just with a gaming PC. Ending up halving it down to 32 to sell some to a friend in desperate need (at the old prices, not the new)
I only bought 32GB ddr5 when it was 120€ this haunts me at night

I put 128 in my nas and 64 in my PC. Wish I would have made them both 128…

Wait till he heres about teh 64gb sitting in two unused machines in my shed. 32ddr3 32 ddr4 and I use a mac mini.
