In grade school, I couldn’t figure out a homework problem that was due the next day. I called everyone in my town’s phone book with my teacher’s last name to hunt them down for help.

To my teacher’s credit, they did help, but I’m sure that’s one of the many reasons why we don’t have a public directory of PII anymore.
