“One of the things that we heard last night, resoundingly across the country, is that we are in … a new movement in this country,” Flanagan said. “Many of us were elected who refused corporate PAC money, who are beholden only to the people who elected us and are ready to fight for bold change. And so I think it’s time for new leadership.”

Honestly, because it’s staffers that receive communications; they can either delete it or log it, and coming at them with (too much) spite might tip them over to ignore you. So politely tell their boss to fuck off, so that message might actually get logged.
Edit: good (but old) article – Wired: What It Takes to Make Congress Actually Listen
They work for a piece of shit. You gonna be polite to a Nazi general because he’s just doing his job? Making all his staff quit would go a long way toward making him actually fuck off, rather than getting your polite “fuck off” message politely delivered to the nearest trash bin so they don’t get fired.
You’re not wrong. My point is that lots of staffers work for shitbags, and to be fair, lots of staffers are shitbags. But if you want your voice to be logged and show up on a chart that might tip the scale, one path might work better than the other.
I don’t think anybody on his staff is concerned with that chart, but do whatever you feel is best. Maybe I’m just too cynical.
