“One of the things that we heard last night, resoundingly across the country, is that we are in … a new movement in this country,” Flanagan said. “Many of us were elected who refused corporate PAC money, who are beholden only to the people who elected us and are ready to fight for bold change. And so I think it’s time for new leadership.”

Quick reminder that Minnesota is a state with a left party independent from the DNC.

They caucus with, and accept money from the DNC, but the DFL has always been slightly more to more progressive than the DNC.

Wow, never had heard of the DFL, but now I read the wiki, and that is a pretty cool history…at least before they got a bit more conservative in the post-war period, but still cool!

And the person who ran Minnesota’s DFL for a decade has been the DNC chair for like 21 months…

A big reason why this wave was not only huge, but full of progressives…

Who should run with some “realism” of DNC support? I nominate Bernie, but he would need to join Democratic party perhaps.

      Schiff, maybe?

He’s not as progressive as Bernie, but he’s widely respected by Democrats and has more experience investigating the Trump administration than just about any other Congress critter.

Schiff would be a good pick if Dems want to demonstrate a serious shift of priorities and how they’re serious about exercising their investigative/oversight mandate rather than more “business as usual”.

EDIT: While we’re at it, let’s make Raskin house speaker and really get serious about investigating the president.

If you have a Dem House rep, contact them and say no to Jefferies

If you have a Dem senator, contact them and say no to Schumer

What if my Senator is Schumer? How do I politely tell him to retire already?

He’s openly suggested that he’s more loyal to Israel than to the united States. Tell him that’s borderline treason and he’s despicable for supporting genocide. Tell him you want a new rep and a new leader.

Sir, as one of your constituents I do not feel as though you have acted in accordance with the needs or the will of the people who elected you into office, but rather submitted to the demands of private interests and corporate donors. Your actions, or often lack of action, have caused harm at worst and at best kept positive change from happening. I respectfully ask that you step down and allow the next generation of leadership to enact the will of regular Americans.

        Sincerely, dhork.

Politely tell him he had his turn, and now it’s time for a different democratic leadership and approach.

If he hasn’t already felt how incredibly unwelcome he is, you can politely figure out a way to tell him to “go fuck himself”.

Bully tactics is how people like him ended up in power. Start there. End with a hug and make sure it doesn’t happen again. Better yet, give what’s left of this land back to the natives. They did it better. #LANDBACK

She’s Senate. We need reps to voice that opinion. And you can be absolutely sure as fuck that my new rep will be hearing that opinion.
