The black singlet is the wrestling promoter’s way of telling you that you need to lose weight god dammit! That’s why Andre had to wear it in his later years, or the big show, or king Kong Bundy, etc
Everyone remembers Hogan vs Andre, and Hogan vs Piper and Hogan vs macho man, but Hogan vs Bundy was pretty great. Props to Bobby the brain Heenan for always pulling out great challengers for Hogan.
I was never really into entertainment wrestling but I grew up with it as a kid in the 80s and all those names just gave me flashbacks of me and my friends having a blast watching all those wrestlers and pretending we were doing a Russian Sickle on one another or learning how to do the Figure-4 Leg Lock … or even how to reverse it!
Thanks for reminding me of all this … the last wrestling acting we did was when I was just turning into a teen in the late 80s. One of us would go up a friend and surprise them with an unexpected Rick Flair back handed slap to the chest then cry out WOOOOOOOO!!!
and yes you are right, they really put the “entertainment” into entertainment wrestling back then. Watching it was a fun escape from reality, now they just try to use it all as another political platform
don’t say the big show don’t say the big show
It’s the Trash Man!
He eats trash!

I miss the old style of wrestling. Now it’s just chairs and bullshit
