100%, it’s a republican on one of the foreign affairs committees, someone on Trumps staff, or Trump himself. Remember, GröpenFührer gets classified briefings as a candidate for president.

you’re a bit confused what it will mean to the conflict if trump gets in again, not only will the united states support dissapear (of which it’s been over 75% of everything, cash, loans and arms, ukraine has gotten so far), it is the worlds only superpower. with the us under trump again, he will actively stymie ukraines abilities to receive support, with china on russia’s side, there’s nothing europe is going to be able to do, the only thing europe can do at that point, is hope vlad stops at ukraine. europe will write ukraine off as a business expense, and hunker down.

Europe also has the frightening option to attempt to trigger article 5 before January, and make the US choose whether to honor the commitment or leave Europe. It sounds nuts, but if you know you have yo fight russia eventually, it’s bold but could work.

Well Zelensky was very clear about there being two paths. I welcome the world’s newest member of the nuclear weapons club.

I really hope it doesn’t come to that as escalation will be fast, but if they keep being strung along and not being given means to end the war there might not be another choice =(

Or Russia decides eating a nuke isn’t worth it because they know what launching a nuke from Russia would mean.

          Very possible, but putins crazy.

I don’t know how Ukraine would convince Russia the threat is real without at least a test detonation somewhere and that’s better than bombing someone, but also not ideal.

He’s not crazy, he’s a cold, calculating sociopath.

He wants people to think he’s crazy when it comes to nukes because that makes his empty threats seem scary.

Yeah, that’s true, but it was always going to be a tight line to walk to get out from under a Russian invasion without going the Afghanistan route.
