Maybe it’s the flu I’m having but I had a funny “YouTube comment” on a Harry potter video, on my head and when I came up with it I giggle for a good 30 seconds, my torax started hurting (again due the flu)… Ouch
I’m the funniest person I know even though my wife would disagree
Well, someone has to!
Sometimes it makes it funnier to laugh at your own jokes. Mitch Hedberg laughing at his own filler jokes cracks me up.
One of the reasons he’ll always be one of my favorites is because he didn’t take himself seriously and called many of his own filler jokes ridiculous. You could almost imagine him amongst the audience, laughing at himself on stage.
Yes, it’s usually the first time I’ve heard it too.
Yes, because they’re not funny, but if I get in the habit of laughing at them myself, someone nearby may not be paying attention and laugh along with me.
That should work, as soon as I have friends to be around me
Obviously. Everyone in my head says I’m hilarious
Who else is clever enough to grasp all the layers?
Like… An
ogreonion?
Well someone’s gotta
If I don’t find my joke funny, why tell it?
Exactly.
Even if I’m the only one laughing, I’m still gonna.
If I can’t laugh with myself who can I laugh with?
Yeah it’s a bit of a foible but I won’t crack a joke unless it’s already got me laughing internally.
If I didn’t think it was funny myself, why would I tell it to anyone?
Yeah, nearly every time. Gotta be able to laugh at yourself once in awhile
My jokes tend to be terrible, so not really, but what will really get me laughing is the reaction of other people to how terrible they are.
Probably shouldn’t laugh at that to be fair, what with causing suffering and all that, but as suffering goes it could be far worse.
Sometimes I tell myself a joke in my head that’s so funny I laugh out loud. Seemingly at random from anyone else’s perspective.
